The M/C Tip Top II was built in 2008 and redesigned in 2015-2016 to offer the highest level of comfort and the best experience in the Islands. She has a capacity of 16 passengers and offers quality accommodations with 10 cabins, each with its own private bathroom (toilet, shower, washbasin and vanity), locker and drawers, safety box, and air conditioning. Social areas include a bar, inside dining room in the main deck, salon and library for lectures in the main deck, outside salon & bar in the upper deck, and sun deck. The crew consists of 8 members: Captain, multilingual guide, engineer, international cook, barman, waitress, and two sailors.

 

FEATURES

 

The M/C Tip Top II is a motor catamaran with an overall average length of 104 feet, beam of 40 feet, and draft of 5 feet. Capable of travelling at a cruising speed of 12 knots, she is operated by twin Detroit Diesel MTU 350 HP main engines and equipped with twin 60 KW John Deere/Marathon (M) electric generators. She is properly equipped with a water separator, Raritan marine sanitation, device sewage treatment system, Westfalia separator mineral oil systems, and a WMSQ-2500 reverse osmosis desalination system.

 

In order to ensure of safety of everyone onboard, Tip Top II has complete safety and communications system, including: two 24-mile range Furuno Navnet Radar/Chart Plotter, two Furuno-FCV620 Eco sounders, GPS, Furuno NX300 Navtex, Furuno SC-Satellite Fluxgate compass, Icom M802 HFMF/DSC Radio, two Icom M506 VHF/DSC radios, ACR Epirb, two ACR Sarts, two ACR VHF bi directional rescue radios, Ritchie Magnetic Compass, hydraulic helm, barometer, clock, thermometer, helm indicator, searchlight, horn, fire & smoke detector system, two Viking inflatable life rafts (25 passengers each one), 30 life jackets, and twin 17-feet Caribe Nautica Inflatable boats with 25 HP four stroke outboard motors (12 passengers each one). All safety equipment complies with International Coast Guard regulations.

 

Tip Top II has a capacity of 16 passengers and 10 cabins, which are located in the different decks. The Main Deck has 2 cabins with one single lower bed (Cabins 1 & 2, 120 square feet each, beds sizes of 4’x 6.5’ or 1.40m x 2.00m) and 4 cabins with two single lower beds (Cabins 3 to 6, 196 square feet each, beds size of 3’15”x 6.5’ or 1.10m x 2.00m). The Upper Deck has 2 cabins with two single lower beds (Cabins 7 & 8, 170 square feet each plus balcony, beds size of 3’15”x 6.5’ or 1.10m x 2.00m) and 2 cabins with one king size bed (Cabins 9 & 10, 170 square feet each plus balcony, beds size of 6.5’x 6.5’ or 2.00m x 2.00 m).
